Poland's prime minister's aim is to have one of the lowest VAT gaps in the EU in 2020, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily said.

PGE, Tauron

Poland's biggest power group PGE may take over heating assets from its smaller rival Tauron, while Energa may be looking at PGNiG's energy unit PGNiG Termika, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily said quoting unnamed sources.

COMPANIES

In 2017 the number of companies registered in Poland fell by almost 10 percent year on year, Puls Biznesu daily said.

EURO

Poland should not easily resign from its flexible monetary policy scheme, which is useful in case of various shocks, finance minister told Rzeczpospolita daily in an interview when asked whether Poland should look at the criteria it would have to meet in order to join the euro zone.
