Insurance fees. In Kyrgyzstan, the collection of insurance fees in 2018 exceeded the indexes for 2017 and amounted to 106.6% from a year earlier.
According to data of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, insurance contributions in the amount of 30,647.2 million soms were received in 2018.
“Compared to the same period last year, the collection increased by 106.6% or more by 1907.6 million soms,” the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
Indirect taxes. Temporary points of transport control and accounting of goods began to function from October 1, 2018 near 4 checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan state border. As a result, in October-December 2018, the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan provided indirect taxes in the amount of 7 billion 98.4 million soms, which is 785.9 million soms more than the same period in 2017, or the growth rate was 112.5%.
In all temporary points, an automated system for accounting of accompanying invoices has been established, which allows online information to be sent to territorial tax authorities on imported goods from the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Taxes from Dzhunda. The China Petrol Company Dzhunda Refinery every month transfers about 200 million som of taxes to the budget of Kyrgyzstan.
According to Altynbek Sadyrbaev, Acting Director of the Dzhunda Oil Refinery, the capacity of the refinery will be increased in the future, which leads to an increase in tax deductions. Currently, the plant capacity is 800 thousand tons of fuel and lubricants per year.
“Now we are working on increasing the capacity of the plant and the quality of its products. If now tax deductions amount to about 200 million soms, this year (2019) we set a goal to increase allocations to 300-400 million soms per month by increasing the capacity of the plant,” Sadyrbaev said.
GDP growth in 2018. Kyrgyzstan's GDP in 2018 amounted to 557 billion soms, which indicates its growth by 3.5% compared with the figures for 2017.
According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, excluding the indicators of the Kumtor gold mining enterprise, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP in 2018 was 509 billion soms and increased by 3.5%.
GDP and services. In the structure of Kyrgyzstan's GDP in 2018, the share of the service sector was 47%, and thus formed its most part, the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic stated.
The share of industry made 18% of GDP, which is equal to 251 billion soms and indicates an increase by 5.4%. Without Kumtor development enterprises, industrial output amounted to more than 148 billion soms and increased by 7.3%.
The growth of indicators in the field of agriculture was achieved due to an increase in the growth of output in crop production by 3.4% and in livestock production by 2.2%. In total, the total indicator in this industry amounted to 204 billion soms and increased by 2.7% compared with 2017.
In general, the volume of Kyrgyzstan's GDP in 2018 amounted to 557 billion soms, which indicates its growth by 3.5% compared with the figures for the previous year.
Investments in 2018. The volume of investments in fixed assets of Kyrgyzstan in 2018 amounted to about 150 billion soms and increased by 3.3% compared with the previous year. According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the growth of the indicator was increased by 24% at the expense of internal sources, while at the expense of external sources, indicators decreased by almost 28%.
The main volume of investments was directed to the construction of facilities for the extraction of minerals, processing industries, provision (supply) with electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air and housing.
In the past year, about 9 thousand apartments were commissioned with a total area of about 1 million square meters, which, however, was 33.5% less than in 2017.
Rising prices for products. There has recently been an increase in prices in Kyrgyzstan, mainly related to such goods as food products and non-alcoholic beverages.
According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the largest increase in consumer prices (1.1%) was recorded in Naryn oblast, while on the contrary a decrease of 0.5% was recorded in Batken oblast.
In general, in December 2018 compared with the previous month, consumer prices and tariffs in the country increased by 0.7%. Most of all, fresh vegetables (by 11.3%), millet (by 1.5 times) and milk (by 4.9%) increased in price.
Imported gasoline. For 11 months of 2018, Kyrgyzstan imported almost 484 thousand tons of oil products from Russia and Kazakhstan worth $ 270 million.
According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, , the main sources of fuels and lubricants of Kyrgyzstan are suppliers from Russia and Kazakhstan.
During this period, 411 thousand tons (84.9% of the total supply) of petroleum products worth $ 241 million were imported from Russia, which is 8% less than in the same period of 2017. During the same period, about 73 thousand tons (8.4%) of petroleum products were imported from Kazakhstan in the amount of $ 29 million, which is 9% less than in the 11 months of the previous year.
Debt has grown. The public debt of Kyrgyzstan increased for one month by $ 50 million at the end of last year and as of November 30, 2018 amounted to $ 44 billion 477.43 million (312 billion 737.32 million soms).
According to data of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan:
- $ 3 billion 838.29 million out of them (or 268 billion 95.03 million soms) is the state external debt;
- $ 639.14 million (44 billion 642.29 million soms) is the state domestic debt.
Commodity turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic. The volume of foreign trade of Kyrgyzstan for 11 months of 2018 exceeded $ 5 billion 967.6 million.
According to preliminary estimates of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, this figure increased by 6.2% compared to the same period in 2017.
At the same time, the growth in the share of exports amounted to 0.8% and reached $ 1 billion 533 million, while imports grew by 8.2%, which in total amounted to $ 4 billion 434.4 million.
The volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EAEU member states in January-November 2018 amounted to $ 2.1 billion and decreased by 4.8% compared with January-November 2017. The amount of goods exported from Kyrgyzstan to the countries of the EAEU amounted to $ 500.1 million, and the amount imported from there to Kyrgyzstan - $ 1 billion 589.8 million.
