NatWest will be closing 19 branches across the next month. The NatWest Group shut down 48 branches in 2024 and in 2023 and previously said: "Banking has changed dramatically in recent years, with an increased demand for mobile and online services, as our customers benefit from a faster and easier way to bank.

"We know it can affect those less confident with alternatives we offer. We'll always work hard to guide and support you through the changes and find the best way to serve you from now on."

One customer fumed: "So 19 million customers, 3.5 milllion of them using online srevices which equates to 18.4% So what are the other 81.6% of customers doing ? Banks are like Starmer and his Government, only tell you what they want you to know if your lucky.

"Plus within the dates they give 2019 to 2024 two years of that where lock downs forcing people to do internet banking. Cash is King as you can have as many outages you want as that does not effect you with cash in your pocket."
