New listings increased in statewide, data shows

The number of newly listed homes in New Jersey increased by 7.7% in March compared to this time last year, according to data from Realtor.com.

Some 9,000 homes were added to the housing market statewide in March.

Utah, Colorado and Maine saw the most significant growth in newly listed homes compared to last year.

“I’m seeing a lot more inventory hit the market than I have in past years,” Charles Wheeler, a Redfin agent based in San Diego, said in the report.
