Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Palestine and the relocation of the US embassy won’t change this fact, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday in an interview with Turkey’s TRT.

“Everyone knows very well that Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine, you should know that too, and your rejection of this fact won’t change anything,” Erdogan said addressing the US President Donald Trump.

The Turkish president stressed that the extraordinary meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held in Istanbul last Friday, was concluded with a series of important resolutions supporting the Palestinians and rejecting the Israeli aggression against them.

“During the OIC summit, we announced a list of 30 resolutions, including articles on economic sanctions against Israel and its illegal settlement activity in the Palestinian territories,” he said.

During the interview, Erdogan also discussed other international, regional and domestic issues.
