A STUDENT accommodation house in Highton has hit the market a year after plans to turn it into an addiction rehab centre were rejected.
The house at 4 North Valley Rd has 12 bedrooms, each with a bed, desk and chair, four bathrooms, 12 lockable pantry cupboards in the kitchen and 12 car spaces in a secure carpark.
Hayeswinckle, Highton agent Michelle Winckle said the property was a solid investment with a potential $90,000 return a year.

“It is not leased at the moment but has been leased in the past with that return,” Ms Winckle said.
In April last year Geelong council rejected plans for a 12-bed rehab centre at the site after more than 900 people signed a petition against it.
The application would have converted the student housing into a centre for people recovering from drugs, alcohol, gambling, eating disorders and other health conditions.
Ms Winckle said there were a couple of business people looking at the site that could also be used for staff accommodation or as an aged-care or disability facility.
The property is listed for sale at $1.39 million.
